Student Voice is central to the ethos of King Edwards. There are multiple strands of student voice that are pro-active within the college.
Student voice enrichment group
Annually, students get the chance to have their say anonymously in the QDP student questionnaire. Students also get the opportunity to participate in focus groups which take place in all A Level subjects. We also have an on-line suggestions scheme which all students can access to make comments about any aspect of college life. All comments are responded to as quickly as possible. For students who are really enthusiastic about Student voice we have the Student Voice enrichment society which both year 12 and 13 students can be involved. The enrichment group are trained to conduct research into teaching and learning issues as well as the whole student experience. The society also host whole college events in the three dedicated student voice weeks which run throughout the academic year, as well as organising fundraising events, working closely with the Student Union and producing a termly newsletter called “The Voice”.
The Student Voice Newsletter is now available! Click the link below to download.
