Latest information about coronavirus - last update 10 July 2020 5.00pm

When students started their studies in September 2018, none of us would have anticipated that their time at King Edward’s would have ended this way; no exams, no leavers’ event and no chance to say “goodbye” to friends and staff.

What is important now is getting your exam results to you safely and making sure that you are supported in progressing to the next stage.

Return of books

All text books and other equipment loaned to students throughout their time at college must be returned by A level results day (Thursday 13 August) at the latest. Reception will be open from 9am – 4pm every day and books can be dropped off there. There will also be boxes available on results day where you can place your books before you collect your results.

Students failing to return text books and other loaned equipment will be invoiced for their replacement.

Students should write their name inside the front cover of each book before dropping them off.

Collection of results

In order to maintain social distancing and to cater for students who are self-isolating, we are distributing results in two ways this year.

We believe that it is best for students to come in person to collect their results as students have a supportive environment and can seek support easily. However, we must insist that everyone who should be self-isolating should stay at home.

Attending in person

To minimise queuing, we have split students into three groups by surname (A to F, G to O and P to Z). Each group will enter the college via different entrances and pick up their results in different locations, so it is essential that students join the correct queue.

To minimise the number of people on site we have to insist that students cannot be accompanied to pick up their results; however, parents/carers are welcome to accompany the students to any subsequent support sessions.

Results by email

We will be emailing results to all students this year. These will be sent at 8am to students’ college email account. Assistance with results will still be available by emailing helpwithresults@kedst.ac.uk. We will get one of our trained advisers to contact you quickly.

Further Information

We will be updating our website before results day with more detailed information about results and related issues. We are waiting for more guidance from Ofqual before we can do this, but we will let you know via email when updates occur.

Please also read information on exams for further information about your results.
