The College became an academy and joined the Heart of Mercia Multi-Academy Trust in February 2021. King Edward VI College, Stourbridge, Worcester Sixth Form College, Hereford Sixth Form college, The Chantry School and John Kyrle High School are managed by this trust, the Heart of Mercia Trust.

King Edward VI College Local Governing Body (LGB)
The College’s Local Governing Body comprises of sixteen independent governors from a wide variety of professional, business and community organisation backgrounds including staff, student and parent governors. The Local Governing Body is collectively responsible for overseeing the College’s strategic aims and values and ensure that its obligations to its stakeholders and others are met and understood. We fulfil these responsibilities during regular visits to college, participation in college events, and through regular Local Governing Body meetings.
