👋 The Admissions Team

The Admissions Team collaborates with prospective students, parents/carers, teachers, and careers advisers across the Midlands, offering valuable information, advice, and guidance for those considering joining King Ed’s. We provide a variety of services to schools, from attending careers fairs and delivering workshops/presentations to hosting campus taster activities. Whether the goal is to inspire students as they start contemplating life after Year 11 or to support them through the application process, we are here to lend a helping hand.

🎯 Services to Schools

Supporting students is our top priority, starting even before they become part of the King Ed’s community. We offer a range of free services to our feeder schools, which can be delivered at your school, as a webinar, or here on campus.

Each activity can be tailored to meet the specific needs of your student group, fitting seamlessly into your school day or aligning with any planned events. We also warmly invite schools to join us on bespoke days at our campus, where students can explore post-16 options, the application process, and engage in activities led by our academic staff — giving them a taste of college life.

📚 Presentations and Workshops

Our presentations are a fantastic opportunity for your students to dive into the world of King Ed’s! Ideal for Year 10/11 students planning life after GCSEs, sessions can be delivered to whole year groups in lively assemblies, smaller groups in classrooms, or even virtually. These presentations provide:

🎪 Event Support

We recognise the importance of careers events in helping students explore opportunities. Our team is happy to support your school events, including careers fairs, parent evenings, lunchtime drop-ins, and options events. We can attend daytime, evening, or weekend sessions to enhance your activities.

🚀 Taster Days / Campus Tours

Our School Taster Activities give groups of students the chance to explore college life while enjoying taster sessions with our academic staff. These sessions are designed to provide a hands-on experience of what it’s like to study at King Ed’s, allowing students to:

• Participate in mini-lessons across a variety of subjects
• Engage with our expert teaching staff and ask questions about courses
• Explore the college campus, including social and study spaces
• Gain insights into the learning environment and support services available
• Experience a taste of the academic challenges and opportunities that await post-16 students

Each taster day or campus tour can be tailored to meet the needs of your student group, whether it’s focusing on specific subject areas, career pathways, or general post-16 preparation.
