The Admissions Team

The Admissions Team collaborates with prospective students, parents/carers, teachers, and careers advisers in schools across the Midlands, offering valuable information, advice, and guidance for those considering joining us at King Ed’s. We provide a variety of services to schools, from attending careers fairs and delivering workshops/presentations to hosting campus taster activities. Whether the goal is to inspire students as they start contemplating life after Year 11 or to support them through the application process, we are here to lend a helping hand.

Services to Schools

At the heart of our college are our students, and supporting their journey is our top priority. This support starts even before they become part of the King Ed’s community. We offer a range of free services to our feeder schools, which can be delivered either at your school, as a webinar, or here on campus at King Ed’s.

Each activity can be tailored to meet the specific needs of your student group, fitting seamlessly into your school day or aligning with any events you have planned. Additionally, we extend a warm invitation for schools to join us on bespoke days here at our campus.

During these sessions, alongside exploring post-16 options and our application process, students can participate in engaging activities led by our academic staff, providing them with a taste of college life. We’re here to ensure your students feel supported and excited about their educational journey.

Presentations and Workshops

Our presentations are a fantastic opportunity for your students to dive into the world of King Ed’s! They’re the perfect way to share exciting information, whether your pupils are in Year 10/11 dreaming about life after GCSEs or busy picking their GCSE options. We’re thrilled to deliver sessions to whole year groups in lively assemblies, smaller groups in cosy classrooms, or even through virtual means. Our presentations give a sneak peek into college life, showcase our wide range of courses, guide through the application process, highlight the support we offer our students at King Ed’s, and so much more. It’s all about helping your students understand and prepare for their journey beyond Year 11!

Event Support

We recognise the importance of careers events in allowing students to connect with a diverse range of providers, helping them explore various opportunities. Our team is eager to lend support by visiting your school and enhancing your activities. Whether it’s a careers fair, parent evenings, lunchtime drop-in sessions, or options events, we’re here to assist. Our availability is flexible, accommodating daytime, evening, or weekend activities. Taster Days / Campus Tours

Our School Taster Activities offer groups of students the opportunity to come and explore college life while enjoying taster sessions with our academic staff.
