Last night, Monday 13 July, one of our current students Oliver Farquharson, featured in Channel 4’s, Paramedics: Britain's Lifesavers.

Ollie, started at King Ed’s in 2018, and studied A level economics, modern history and politics and is due to receive his results this August.

Ollie has always had a heart for helping others, and after the loss of his aunt, Kate Fox, to Covid-19, he wanted to use his time to do something proactive to help. Ollie joined the frontline staff at the NHS 111 during the height of the pandemic.

During his time at King Ed’s, Ollie kept himself busy by continuing to volunteer for the Age Mix project which he joined whilst attending Wolverly C.E Secondary School.

This year, he was awarded a bursary for community service which he was due to use, to go and spend three weeks volunteering in high schools in Jaipur, India. However, due to the pandemic this has been put on hold.
