Understanding reporting grades

Each department reports working at and working towards grades 3 times each academic year. Broadly speaking, working at describes a student's current level of achievement based on their most recent work, and working towards describes the grade students are on a path to, with sustained or improved effort.

The documents below explain in more detail how each subject decides grades, and their expected progress path over the 2-year linear course. Used in combination with the subject-specific learning behaviours, these documents will help students to focus their efforts, understand their progress, and make well informed progression choices.
