This course is intended for students who are studying A level physics but are not studying mathematics.
The course is intended to support the development of key mathematics skills required to achieve success in the A level physics course. Students will cover a range of topics, developing confidence in mathematical techniques that are crucial if they are to fully realise their potential in physics.
Mathematical skills to be covered include trigonometry, rearrangement of equations, use of calculators and graph work which supports both theoretical and experimental aspects of A level physics. The course is well resourced and is staffed by members of the physics department, giving students the opportunity to enhance their learning by spending valuable extra time with staff that recognise the importance of mathematics in the development of an A level physics student.
