Our college strategy Learning independently at King Edward’s (LiKE) is designed to help students work effectively outside of lessons and to use their time wisely. Teachers will refer to LiKE tasks during lessons, but make sure they ask for support if they’re struggling to fill their time.
There is no shortcut to a good A level and the independent work teachers set on a weekly basis will directly impact how well a student achieves. Students should spend some time thinking about when they will do their LiKE work in their different subjects; adding time to their timetable and sticking to it is a great way to support themselves to be successful.
Students can use the KE Student Hub SharePoint site to find information about their subjects; and support for their independent study.
