GCSE results day

On Monday 17 August we will send an email to all students who are holding an accepted offer with the college. This email will contain a personalised link to a special portal for students to upload GCSE results, confirm their intention to enrol at King Edward’s, request course changes and ask any other entry related questions.

On Thursday 20 August, as soon as possible after receiving their results from school, students should upload their results through the portal. For enrolment purposes, students must enter their official GCSE results. If students have any concerns regarding their grades, these can be addressed during the enrolment period by sending concerns via the boxes on the portal.

If there are no issues, the college will confirm the offer of a place to study via email. Where students have not met the minimum entry requirements for the college, or for one of their chosen courses, a member of staff will get in touch to discuss the issue. Where the minimum entry requirement for the college has been narrowly missed, it may still be possible to enrol if the GCSE grade profile is strong in the area of intended study.

In the portal, students can also check their proposed courses and make requests to change subjects should they wish. Such requests can be made through the portal up to Wednesday 26 August. These will be considered by the college and a decision will either be communicated via email or via telephone if a discussion would be helpful.

We would ask that students use the portal to raise queries as we will be able to answer queries more quickly and prioritise responses.
