We’re incredibly proud to share some exciting news about one of our recent alumni, Marwa, whose artistic talent has been recognised on a national stage.

Earlier this year, Marwa [The Earls High School] submitted a powerful acrylic painting to the War Through Children’s Eyes art competition. She only recently discovered that her work had been selected for display at none other than the House of Commons — a huge honour and a testament to the impact of her piece.

Even more impressively, Marwa’s painting was awarded 3rd Place in the national contest — a fantastic achievement that highlights her creativity, thoughtfulness, and skill.

As a result of this recognition, Marwa was invited to appear on Sky News’ FYI programme, where she spoke about her artwork and the story behind it. The episode is scheduled to air on Saturday at 2:30pm, and we encourage everyone to tune in and support her — even if she’s not sure how much screen time she’ll get!

Marwa only left King Edward’s this summer, and we’re so proud to see her already making waves in the wider world. Her success is a wonderful reminder of the talent and potential our students carry with them beyond college.

Well done, Marwa — we can’t wait to see what you do next! 🌟
