As part of our ‘Jobtober’ careers focus, students from Film Studies were treated to an inspiring visit from Lee Brown, Steadicam Operator for the acclaimed television series Adolescence.
Held in Hayley Hall, the session featured an engaging interview-style talk where Lee shared his career journey, from early beginnings to working on major productions. The focus of the discussion was the making of Adolescence, offering students a rare glimpse into the creative and technical processes behind the scenes.
The event also included a screening of selected clips and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, giving attendees a deeper understanding of the visual storytelling and production techniques used in the series.
While the session was especially relevant to Film Studies students, all students and staff were warmly invited to attend, and the turnout reflected strong interest across the college. We’re grateful to everyone who helped promote the event and supported students in taking part.
Lee’s visit was a standout moment in our Jobtober programme, sparking curiosity and ambition among aspiring creatives.
