Ben Healy, a proud former student of King Edward VI College, has taken the cycling world by storm with a spectacular performance in the 2025 Tour de France. Healy claimed a dramatic solo victory on Stage 6, and days later, donned the coveted yellow jersey after a heroic ride through the Massif Central.

Riding for EF Education-EasyPost, Healy’s Stage 6 win was a masterclass in endurance and strategy. Launching a bold attack with over 40 km to go, he powered through the Normandy hills to secure his first-ever Tour stage win. His efforts were rewarded again on Stage 10, where a third-place finish elevated him to the top of the general classification.

Healy’s time in yellow marked a historic moment—not only for Irish cycling but also for his alma mater.

Although he later relinquished the yellow jersey to Tadej Pogačar, Healy remains a top-10 contender and a fan favorite. His resilience in the Pyrenees and tactical brilliance have earned him widespread admiration.

As the Tour heads into its final week, all eyes are on Healy to see if he can deliver more magic—and perhaps another stage win.
