- To report a year 12 absence (term 1 and term 2), parents or guardians (not the year 12 student) must be report the absence. No additional evidence is required for medical appointments. This should be done as soon as possible.
- Year 12 (term 3) and all Year 13 absences can be reported by students or parents/guardians. If a medical appointment is reported by a parent/guardian, no additional evidence is required. If a medical appointment is reported by a student they must either provide a screenshot of the appointment as evidence or get a parent/guardian to email attendance and confirm it.
We also ask that all university open days are evidenced by a screenshot of the invite. Year 12 Students can have up to 3 days absence for an open day before it affects their attendance. The same also applies for Year 13s, however it resets in their second year and it also includes offer holder days.
If a student is going to be late to class they need to email the teacher affected and not attendance, the student then needs to make sure they get their late mark from the teacher when they arrive in the lesson.
For more information about attendance please see our ‘Student Attendance and Punctuality’ policy.
Important points:
- The College does not authorise holiday in term time.
- Appointments should be made outside of lesson times.
