If a serious safeguarding or child protection situation occurs outside of college hours regarding your child, and where it is not possible to contact a safeguarding lead, please follow the steps below and then contact the DSL or a Deputy as soon as possible.
If they are at imminent/significant risk of harm/immediate danger you should call 999 in the first instance (for police and/or ambulance).
Anyone can make a referral to Children’s Services. If you decide to call them, they will want to know:
- Full name of the child
- Date of birth
- Address
- Telephone number for the child and numbers for significant adults (e.g. parents/guardians)
- Names and dates of birth of any siblings and the school they attend (if possible and relevant)
