Work set by teachers to be done independently is often preparation for future lessons and is referred to as prep.
There is no shortcut to a good A level and the independent work teachers set on a weekly basis will directly impact how well a student achieves. Students should spend some time thinking about when they will do their prep work in their different subjects; adding time to their timetable and sticking to it is a great way to support themselves to be successful.
