Peer Mentoring Program

Our Peer Mentoring program is a supportive, stress-free program designed to help new Year 12 students settle into college. As a Mentor you will be trained and provide mentoring sessions for an incoming year 12 student.

What does the program provide

Support – Incoming Year 12 students academically and pastorally

Kingship – Help with the transition form GCSE to A-Level and a new environment

Connections – Pairs new students with a mentor from the year above

What can you gain from being a mentor 

Training

Development of key skills such as communication, problem solving and empathy

A chance to write about your role on university and job applications

 

Applications will open in the Summer term, with full details shared via your college email. You will be expected to attend three training sessions, complete a safeguarding quiz and support with ten mentoring sessions in the Autumn or Spring term.
