Student Union Chair
Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to take on the pivotal role of Chair.
The successful candidate will lead the Student Union, working collaboratively with fellow officers, representing student interests, and contributing to the overall development of a vibrant and engaging college community.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Vision:
Provide strong and visionary leadership for the Student Union, guiding the team in fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all students.
Develop and articulate a clear vision for the Student Union that aligns with the needs and aspirations of the student body and the KEDS Framework.
Strategic Planning:
Work with fellow officers to develop and implement a strategic plan for the Student Union, focusing on key priorities and initiatives that enhance the student experience.
Ensure that the goals of the Student Union align with the broader mission and values of the KEDS Framework.
Representation and Advocacy:
Represent the Student Union in interactions with college administration, faculty, and external stakeholders.
Perform certain official college functions including but not limited to:
- Vote of Thanks to the Speaker during Prize Evening (After college event usually in December)
- Charter Day Lunch at the Old Eds (Usually a Saturday Event)
- The reading of lessons at the annual Carol Service
Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the student union executive committee or the college management.

Overview:
We are searching for an energetic and sports-loving individual to take on the role of Sports and Recreation Officer in our Student Union. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and organizing sports and recreational activities, programmes and initiatives, fostering a culture of fitness and wellness among the student body. You will also represent and support the students who are involved in sport and physical activity at the college, including but not limited to team sports and AoC competitions as well as recreational activities including the use of the fitness suite and aerobics studio.

Event Planning:
Develop and execute a comprehensive events calendar that includes social, cultural and recreational activities. (Please note a Prom is not an event that can be accommodated).
Collaborate with other Student Union officers to ensure a diverse range of events that cater to the interests and needs of the student body.

Handle the logistical aspects of events, including equipment setup and liaising with the appropriate staff to arrange any necessary permits or paperwork (i.e. risk assessments).
