Applications for 25-26 academic year opened Thursday 3 July 2025.
Each year the college distributes government money provided to assist students who may be experiencing financial hardship. Support is allocated on the basis of household income and can be used by students for their transport costs. If a student’s application is accepted, the college will provide all subject related items for them.
An application can be made via the portal link below. Please remember if you are joining us for Year 12 in September, you will need access to your college email account to make an application. Instructions on how to access your college email account, and guidance on how to set your MFA (Multi-Factor Authenticator) was sent to students on Wednesday 2 July from our Registry Team via registry@kedst.ac.uk. If you cannot locate this email, please contact our IT team at helpdesk@kedst.ac.uk. If you need general Bursary guidance, please firstly refer to our Application Guidance document below, or alternatively, email bursary@kedst.ac.uk. Please be aware that this inbox will not be monitored until Tuesday 22 July to allow the administrators time to process completed applications.

Free College Meal Guidance
If you have been successful with your application for Free Meals, which is done via the Bursary application, the student will be made aware of how to claim their entitlement via their college email. We will be providing our Free College Meals students a breakfast and lunch option daily. Students will be able to claim their breakfast and lunch options daily during the College term.

Travel to College
If you will be travelling to college via public transport, please ensure you complete your own research to find information about what travel passes are available. We have collated a list of potential passes in the Travel Guidance document to further support you with the application process, but please be aware this list is not exhaustive.
