Frequently Asked Questions

What if I miss the coach?

If you miss the coach, don’t worry! It’s important to make sure you’re at the correct stop on time. If you do miss the coach, you will need to find your own way into college. Try to arrange an alternative method of transport, like catching a lift with a friend or taking public transport. Remember, being punctual ensures you don’t miss out on any important classes or activities. If you miss your evening return journey, please speak to College Reception staff who will be able to assist you.

What do I do if I leave something on the coach (lost property)?

If you leave any items on the coach, please email us at travel@kedst.ac.uk. Let us know what you’ve left behind, which route you were travelling on, and where you were sitting if you can remember. We’ll get in touch with the coach company to help find your lost property. Once it’s been located, we’ll let you know how you can get it back.

How do I report any issues or concerns relating to College Transport?

If you have any concerns or issues you’d like to discuss throughout the year, please don’t hesitate to email us at travel@kedst.ac.uk. One of the team will get in touch with you to discuss your concerns and find a solution. We’re here to help and make your travel experience as smooth as possible!

What happens if we experience severe weather conditions?

As we move through the winter months, there is potential for disruption caused by inclement weather (flooding, snow, etc). If we need to communicate any changes to college transport, this will be emailed to you at the earliest possible opportunity. Please ensure that you check your college email accounts for any updates.

Similarly, the coach company will notify us should there be an unforeseen delay (e.g. roadworks, road closures, etc) to you arriving in college on time. On occasion, we may have to make temporary adjustments to a route. Of course, we will keep you notified should this occur.

What order do coaches drop students back for afternoon journeys?

Our coaches are carefully timetabled to ensure students return home as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

  • BN1, BN2, CM1, NF1, WW1, WV1 operate in reverse order to the morning collection. This means the last stop collected in the morning will usually be the first drop-off in the afternoon, helping students get home promptly.

  • BG1: Due to local traffic patterns, the Bromsgrove service follows the same order as the morning pick-up (e.g, the first drop off is Ego At The Forest, and the final drop off point is Plough and Harrow, Catshill). This avoids congestion and helps maintain a more reliable journey time for students.
